In these works, details of images are decontextualized and reassembled together. It's parts of the geisha or samurai outfits, armor, weapons, crystals rocks, photo clippings, etc, that make up a sort of icon taking over the Catholic tradition. I move a couple of considerations in this: the first is the fact that religions are fixed the objective of unifying the behavior and individual moral and how effectively they can not really succeed in this: on the same principles are formed saints and mystics but also murderers in the name of God.
Another consideration even more intimate, has to do with my view that he can not conceive of a God or heard as a unique identity but perceive it in every little thing.
The title given to the series "Apostles" was a clear reference to Christianity: I am very interested how the figure of Christ was first "institutionalized" just by the apostles, who had in some way to crystallize (and inevitably stiffen) the figure of Christ, and then spread it and create the basis of a religion.
“Apostoli” dove dettagli di immagini che scovo in internet o su libri, vengono decontestualizzati e ricomposti assieme. Sono parti di abiti di geishe, di samurai, armature, armi, rocce, cristalli, ritagli di foto, etc, che compongono una sorta di icona che riprenda la tradizione cattolica. Mi muovono un paio di considerazioni in questa operazione: la prima è la constatazione che le religioni si prefissano l'obiettivo di unificare il comportamento e la morale individuale e di come effettivamente non possano veramente riuscire in questo. A ben vedere sugli stessi principi si formano santi e mistici ma anche assassini nel nome di Dio. Un'altra considerazione ancora più intima, ha a che fare con la mia visione che non riesce a concepire un Dio univoco o sentito come identitario ma il percepirlo in ogni minima cosa. Il titolo dato alla serie "Apostoli" ha un chiaro riferimento al cristianesimo: mi interessa molto come la figura di Cristo sia stata per prima "istituzionalizzata" proprio dagli apostoli, che dovettero in qualche modo cristallizzare (e inevitabilmente irrigidire) la figura di Cristo, per poi diffonderla e creare le basi di una religione.
